Founded in 1865, Peirce is a private, four-year, specialized institution providing practical, leading edge curricula to primarily working adult learners.
Since 1865, Peirce College has emphasized practical learning in support of workforce and economic development. For years, the vast majority of students resided in the Greater Philadelphia area (Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware). Today, Peirce has a national scope and international reach.
The graduating class of 2006 typified the Peirce College of today. The members ranged in age from 20 to 60 years young, with an average age of 35 years. They hailed from across the nation and included representatives of twelve other countries. As the College's strong reputation spreads throughout the region, the nation and the globe, a Peirce degree becomes increasingly more valuable.
Thomas L. Friedman's recent best selling book, The World Is Flat, chronicles the vast changes in the world of work and the competitive global economy. Peirce College has been, and will continue, addressing the major educational challenges brought on by this flattening phenomenon.
Peirce is well positioned educationally and financially for future growth without geographical boundaries. The College will remain a prime provider of high quality degree programs for working adult learners. Flexible scheduling, outstanding student services and three delivery systems (on campus, on site and online) are key elements for Peirce's continued success in meeting our historical commitment to maximizing student and employer opportunity in the 21st century.
