Student Computing:
Computer Labs
Computers available for student use are located in the Walker Center and the Library. Students can access the College's portal, my.peirce.edu their online courses and course companion websites, the Internet, and numerous helpful computer applicatons, like SMARTHINKING, for tutoring and the Library databases for research.
Important: the only USB drives approved for use with Peirce student computers are the Kingston DataTraveler Elite and Lexar JumpDrive Secure II series. The Lexar JumpDrive Secure II are available for purchase at the Peirce College Computer Store.
The Peirce student computers currently run Microsoft Office 2003. If you are working with Office 2007 at home and need to open a document at Peirce, remember to save it in Compatability Mode.
Students are expected to adhere to the Peirce College Acceptable Use Policy when using College computers.
Walker Center Lab
Seven computers, one printer, and one fax machine are available in the Walker Center for student use. The hours to access these computers are:
- Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
The Computer Labs are funded by the Carl D. Perkins Grant.
Library, 7th Floor of College Hall
Twenty-eight computers, two laser printer, a scanner, and two photocopiers ($0.10/page) are available for student use. Library hours are:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
The Computer Labs are funded by the Carl D. Perkins Grant.
