The Walker Center for Academic Excellence

The Walker Center for Academic Excellence provides student support services to all Peirce College students. These services include:

The Walker Center also manages two computer labs (College Hall Room 22 and the Walker Center, 2nd floor, Alumni Hall), and international student services.


Services for Walker Center Students

The Walker Center for Academic Excellence is underwritten by the following Educational Opportunity Programs (EOPs): Act 101, Student Support Services (TRIO), and Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical programs.

Some EOP-funded services and programs are available only to eligible students. Eligibility is based upon state and federal guidelines.

Services and programs available to eligible students include the Laptop Borrowing Program, the Academic Enrichment Program (AEP), the Chi Alpha Epsilon (XAE) Honor Society, an annual awards ceremony, Welcome Back Day, Student Appreciation Day, leadership retreats, cultural activities, and enhanced academic counseling services.

To find out if you are eligible, you must meet with a Walker Center staff member and complete a membership application. (Membership is free of charge).
