Peirce College "Internet Campus" Honored at IMS Global Learning Consortium 2008 Learning Impact Awards

For Immediate Release

Philadelphia, May 28, 2008 - Peirce College and Jenzabar, Inc. have won a Bronze Award and Best in Category at the IMS Global Learning Consortium 2008 Learning Impact Conference, held earlier this month in Austin, Texas. Peirce was one of only four U.S. organizations to receive an award from the prestigious organization, which recognizes the use of technology in higher education.

"This is a great honor for our entire community and Jenzabar," said Christopher Duffy, Chief Information Officer, who accepted the award on Peirce's behalf. "It is indicative of the strong partnership which exists between the two organizations."

The awards were presented for the entry, "JICS Enhances Learning at Peirce College" for a new Web portal that supports Peirce's extensive online learning programs. The new site enhances access to online resources for students, faculty and staff, while building a learning environment that is communal and supportive of working adult students who are continuing their education.

"The new site has greatly enhanced our ability to deliver high quality service," said Jim Mergiotti, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Peirce College. "It supports our ability to bring the college campus directly to the student's laptop, making it much easier to apply for, enroll, and register in Peirce's convenient, affordable programs."
