Peirce College CIO Christopher Duffy Wins Prestigious CIO Leadership Award

Philadelphia, December 8, 2008 - Christopher Duffy, Chief Information Officer at Peirce College, was presented with the 2008 CIO Leadership Award by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Society for Information Management. The award was presented by Lynn Doyle of CN8 in a special ceremony at the Constitution Center on Tuesday, December 2.
The SIM CIO Leadership Award honors outstanding technology achievement in Business Innovation and Leadership. Duffy was presented the award for launching MyPeirce.edu, a Web-based portal that allows Peirce students to manage their entire college experience, from financial aid to finals, online.

Applicants for the 2008 SIM CIO Leadership Award are judged by a peer group of senior technology officers, drawn from such prestigious organizations as Unisys, Sunoco, Inc., NMS Labs and Tasty Baking Company, as well as last year's winner, William H. Morgan, Executive Vice President and CIO of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
