Arthur J. Lendo Featured in Inside the Minds

Philadelphia, March 23, 2009 -Arthur J. Lendo, president of Peirce College, will be a featured author in the next issue of Inside the Minds, an acclaimed series on business leadership by Aspatore Books, a Thomson Reuters business. He joins an all-star cast of 12 CEOs, who were chosen based on their business experience and standing within the professional community. This issue publishes this month.

In his essay, "Embracing Innovation and 21st Century Technology: A Transformational Leadership Study," Dr. Lendo focuses on the effects of globalization and technology on changing student needs in higher education, using the example of his successful transformation of Peirce College into a leading-edge global institution.

"Dr. Lendo is a visionary leader," said James J. Mergiotti, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. "He has a deep understanding of the shifting requirements in higher education and tremendous insight regarding future workforce and economic development."

Inside the Minds enjoys significant praise within book publishing circles. Dr. Lendo has served as president at Peirce for the past 18 years and his tenure places him among the most experienced college presidents in the United States. During his presidency, Dr. Lendo led a transformation at the college, more than tripling enrollment.

Most notable accomplishments under Lendo's stewardship include: a charter change to four-year baccalaureate status; record fundraising levels; and the creation of Peirce Corporate College and Peirce Online. The latter has resulted in the College's reach extending from regional to national and international levels as it now serves degree-seeking students from 39 of the 50 states and numerous foreign countries.

Dr. Lendo's published work includes a major policy paper at Oxford University regarding asynchronous online learning. He is also a featured author in ExecBlueprints - an online publication published by Aspatore and subscribed to by C-level executives.
