Peirce College Offers State-of-the-Art Campus Facilities for Meetings and Events

For Immediate Release

Philadelphia, September 17, 2009 - Peirce College announced today that select areas of its newly renovated facilities are available for events such as receptions, conferences and corporate training sessions.

Located on Pine Street just off the Avenue of the Arts in Center City, Peirce's historic campus is an ideal setting. The College has technological state-of-the-art resources and support, and provides catering services that can handle the needs of any company, organization or individual.

The College also boasts a rather unique atmosphere not found elsewhere. Peirce was a location for the filming of M. Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense, as College Hall was transformed into St. Anthony's Academy for Boys.

Since 2002, Peirce has invested $13.8 million in capital improvements to its campus; the 19th century character of the facade remains, while the functionality of the facilities is very 21st century. The College has banquet rooms available to comfortably accommodate groups of up to 120 people; meeting rooms hold groups up to 180; and individual classrooms can seat up to 40. Many rooms may be combined to accommodate larger groups. Two open atriums and an attractive outdoor, secured courtyard are also available. All rooms are ADA-accessible.

Interested parties are invited to contact Vito R. Chimenti, Chief Auxiliary Services Officer, for further information on room rentals, including catering needs.

Peirce College is a private, four-year college and is one of Philadelphia's most respected institutions of higher learning. The College is one of the region's premier providers of education for working adults.

Peirce College offers bachelor's and associate degree programs in Business, Healthcare, Information Technology and Paralegal Studies. Peirce College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pa., 19104; 267-284-5000). The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs accredits the College's business program and the Paralegal Studies program is approved by the American Bar Association.
