Welcome to the new Presidential Search Web Page. This Web Page has been created to provide you with updated information regarding the College's search for a new President.

Posted: May 7, 2008 - Ms. Katy K. Theroux, Search Committee Chair, facilitated the initial meetings of the College Community Advisory Panel on April 28th. The panel was comprised of two groups which met separately. The alumni and students were represented by Michael Mckee '02, Business Administration; Miesha McKnight '05, Business Administration; Cynthia Eisenhauer '05, Paralegal Studies; Gwendolyn McNuckles, Business Administration; and George Bailey, Business Administration. The faculty and staff are represented by Dennis Barbee, Manager, Application Support; Randy Coverdale, Supervisor, Housekeeping/Maintenance; Marie Gould, Associate Professor/Faculty Chair; Brian Halsey, Professor; Robert Heubner, Adjunct Faculty Member; John Powell, Reference/Access Services Librarian; Rita Toliver-Roberts, Dean of Students; Brad Hodge, Manager, Financial Analysis/Reporting/Accounts Receivable; Ruthann Lisser, Financial Aid Specialist; Nadine Maher, Dean, Enrollment Management; Lisa Paris, Manager, Communications.

Ms. Theroux obtained a great deal of input and was pleased with the level of interest and engagement from all panel participants regarding the skills, experiences, and personal qualities they viewed as necessary for the new President.

On May 5th, the Search Committee met and Ms. Theroux shared the feedback provided by the Advisory Panel; presented a draft position description and search criteria; and discussed the utilization of a search firm.

On May 6th, Ms. Theroux communicated updates regarding the search process and submitted the draft position description to President Lendo and the College's Senior Managers. Ms. Harriet S. Golen, Search Administrator, updated the members of the Advisory Panel regarding the outcomes of the search committee meeting.

Once Ms. Theroux receives input from Dr. Lendo and the Senior Managers, she will convene the College's Board of Trustees for their approval on the position description and search criteria.

The next Search Committee meeting will take place on June 2, 2008.



Posted: April 17, 2008-Ms. Katy K. Theroux, Chair of the Search Committee met with Ms. Harriet S. Golen, Search Administrator, on April 4, 2008, for a preparatory meeting prior to the first Search Committee meeting. On April 10th, the Presidential Search Committee held its first meeting. They defined roles and responsibilities of all constituencies involved in the search process; vetted out the position description; reviewed recommendations for members of the Peirce community to serve on the College Community Advisory Panel; and established a preliminary timeline for the Presidential Search.

The Chair of the Search Committee, met with senior managers of the College on April 15th for their input on key challenges and priorities, and special skills required of the new President.

The next step is for members of the College Community Advisory Panel to be selected. Two groups will be formed; one consisting of Peirce faculty and staff, and another of current students and alumni volunteers. Initial meetings will be scheduled with each group by April 30th.

The next Search Committee meeting will take place on May 5, 2008.



Posted: March 20, 2008-The Peirce College Board of Trustees has appointed the Presidential Search Committee consisting of the following trustees: Gregory J. West, Board Chair; Lawrence Scanlan, Jr., Board Vice Chair; Frederick M. Price '64; Katy K. Theroux; Martin S. Mirman; and Trustee Emeritus Thomas J. Foga '52. Ms. Theroux will chair the Committee. Harriet S. Golen, Manager, Employee Relations, has been assigned as the Search Administrator. The Committee will begin formal meetings on April 10, 2008.

President Lendo will work with the Search Committee as a Special Advisor. Additionally, an Advisory Panel, comprised of students, faculty, staff, and administrators, will be assembled to provide the Committee with input regarding the position description and process.
