Peirce College’s 2021 Executive Leadership Breakfast has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 31 online at 9:00 a.m.
The decision to move the event to an online format was made out of a recognition of the serious public health situation facing Philadelphia and our commitment to safety and helping to reduce the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) within our community.
The event will focus on how to best leverage higher education and market-driven training and development to better prepare Philadelphia's workforce and accelerate economic mobility in the city within the context of COVID-19 economic recovery efforts. Education helps open the door to opportunity and helps people transform their lives. As our region eventually recovers, it is more critical than ever that adults seeking to advance their education and training understand how it leads to a better career.

Trailblazers in Transformation Awards
Peirce College created the Trailblazers in Transformation award to recognize extraordinary students and alumni who embody the College’s spirit of innovation through their academic, professional and personal achievements. We are honored to present the inaugural Trailblazer in Transformation Awards at the Executive Leadership Breakfast to two remarkable individuals:
- DIANA KIRKLAND ’14, ’16: Diana is a US Navy veteran who overcame addiction and other challenges to advance her career and her life. She earned both her associates and bachelor’s degrees in Paralegal Studies from Peirce College as a proud mother of six. Today, Diana serves as a Legal Administrative Specialist with the regional office of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs in Philadelphia, where she helps veterans and their family members access and understand their veteran benefits.
- JOSH SLOCUM ’20: Josh is a Cloud Desk Agent for Comcast, where he helps small and midsize companies with software solutions. He graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Peirce College as part of the Class of 2020. Josh’s main inspiration for managing a full time career while advancing his education is to keep a promise he made to his parents, and to remain focused on becoming a great leader.
