Peirce College Scholarships, Grants and Awards

Scholarship applications will close for the 2023-2024 academic year on March 14, 2024. Please note some scholarships have been exhausted for this year.

You can access the scholarships portal by clicking here and signing in using your student username and password.

One way Peirce makes higher education accessible and attainable is by helping our students fund their degrees through scholarships. The student scholarships listed below are available to Peirce College undergraduate students only (except for the Cederstrom Scholarship, which is also available to graduate students) and are used for tuition and/or fees only unless otherwise stated.

Please review the graduate and undergraduate scholarship opportunities below carefully. Many (but not all) of these college scholarships and grants can be applied for using the Peirce College Common Scholarship Application form. Some also require an essay and/or recommendation letters.

Please note: If you are receiving other outside aid and/or Peirce College funds that cover tuition, your scholarship may be reduced or eliminated.

Scholarship essays should use the following formatting, unless otherwise specified:

Double-spaced
Times New Roman 12-point font
One-inch top, bottom, and side margins

Letters of recommendation should follow these guidelines:

Recommendations should be from academic and/or business professionals, unless otherwise specified.
The writer of a letter of recommendation should include his/her name, employer and phone number in the recommendation.

The Albert G. Cederstrom & Emilie L. Cederstrom Memorial Fund in Human Resource Management

Created by Albert G. Cederstrom, Jr. ’43 to honor his parents, Albert G. Cederstrom and Emilie L. Cederstrom, the purpose of this fund is to provide financial support to Peirce College students who are currently enrolled in the Human Resource Management and OLM programs.

Alice C. McCausland '27 Endowed Scholarship Fund

In 2009, the College received a generous donation from the estate of Alice C. McCausland '27, to be used for scholarships for students in need as they complete their degree.

Alumni Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to new undergraduate students entering Peirce College and students who have completed a minimum of 24 credits.

The Dr. Arthur J. Lendo Endowed Scholarship Fund

Arthur J. Lendo served as Peirce College's sixth president from 1991 through 2009. Dr. Lendo developed Peirce's acclaimed distance learning platform that allowed students to earn degrees entirely online, and his legacy lives on today through this technology-focused scholarship fund.

Carol and Walter Smith Scholarship Fund

This fund was created in July 2020 with a gift from DeVonté Douglass in memory of his grandmother, Carol Douglass Smith, whose belief in education and her support of DeVonté had a huge impact on his success. Carol Douglass Smith was committed to education and learning, and she encouraged her grandchildren and other family members to make the most of educational opportunities.

The Cherita Brown Memorial Scholarship

This fund was established to honor the memory of Cherita D. Brown who passed away on September 3, 2019. The purpose of this Fund is to provide scholarships to students who are nearing the completion of their degree and demonstrate academic success, financial need, personal integrity, and dedication to the advancement of others.

The Church of the Holy Trinity Veterans Scholarship

A fund providing financial support to veterans or active military personnel who have completed 15 credit hours or more toward their degree.

Community College Partners Scholarship

This is an award for associate degree graduates from partner schools. Funds will be dispersed on a term-by-term basis. Award is up to $3000 per academic year provided a student’s tuition is not being covered by other financial means.

Edna M Thompson '32 Endowed Scholarship Fund

In 2009, the College received a generous donation from the estate of Edna M. Thompson '32, to be used for scholarships for worthy students in need as they complete their degree.

The J. Linford Snyder ’33 Scholarship Fund (1988)

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need, academic success, and involvement in school or community activities.

The J. Linford Snyder ’33 Scholarship Fund (1997)

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to students who demonstrate financial need, academic success, and involvement in school or community activities.

The Mildred Brown-O'Bannon Scholarship

This scholarship was created by Lt. Col. Frank O'Bannon to honor his wife, Mildred Brown-O'Bannon, class of 1938.

Peirce College Board of Trustees Scholarship

The purpose of this award is to provide financial support for new and existing students who demonstrate financial need.

Peirce College Employee Scholarship Fund

Funded by employee gifts, the purpose of this fund is to provide emergency scholarships to Peirce College students facing significant financial burdens as they earn their degree.

The Professor Edwin B. Miller Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Professor Edwin B. Miller Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund provides college undergraduate scholarships to Peirce Legal Studies students who need financial assistance and who exemplify the core values of Professor Miller’s work.

The Raymond E. Hollenbach '16 and Robert R. Hollenbach ’48 Scholarship Fund

Created by Robert R. Hollenbach ’48 in agreement with the Hollenbach Family Foundation of the Chester County Community Foundation, this scholarship will provide financial support to students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need.

Richard E. Kreider Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to Peirce College students in memory of Richard E. Kreider.

The Raymond L. Palzer ’52 Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established to honor Mr. Palzer’s long relationship with the College, the purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships to new and existing Peirce College students who demonstrate financial need and are in good academic standing.

The W.W. Smith Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to full-time undergraduate students in a degree-granting course of study, in good academic standing and whose financial needs cannot be met by other aid programs.
