Academic Assessment Analyst


Peirce College is seeking an experienced analyst to manage the processes related to student learning outcomes assessment; the ongoing review and evaluation of academic programs; the development of key graduation and retention rate metrics; and, the collection and analysis of grant data. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Institutional Assessment, this role is visible throughout the organization and assumes a leadership role in regional and program accreditation reporting.


  • Leads the organized and systematic assessment of student learning required of an accredited institution by overseeing academic assessment planning and reporting cycles; coordinating data collection; providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for faculty and personnel engaged in student learning assessment and academic program review; and, effectively employing best assessment practices, tools, and software. 
  • Analyzes and reports on key student performance measures including, but not limited to, graduation and retention rates; and, collaborates in the identification, reporting, and analysis of key College performance indicators.
  • Supports the College’s accreditation efforts by monitoring compliance with institutional and programmatic accreditation standards and reporting requirements, as well as collaborating with College leaders in developing effective institutional/unit assessment processes.
  • Supports the development of a College-wide process to track essential compliance responsibilities. Actively participates in government reporting requirements adhering to The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), Clery Act, State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement, Consumer Information, etc.
  • Leads and/or collaborates in key processes such as programmatic, catalog, and policy reviews and updates.
  • Participates in market research, data collection and analysis, review and/or creation of institutional grants, proposals, and initiatives as needed.
  • Identifies and creates innovative solutions facilitating research and assessment in support of the College’s mission and goals; active leader/participant in process improvement initiatives.


  • Master’s degree in related area required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in learning outcomes assessment and program evaluation at a post-secondary institution. Prior experience developing and implementing an assessment approach preferred.
  • Familiarity with accreditation requirements, regulatory environment, and state and federal data sources relating to higher education.  Accreditation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with data retrieval, analysis, and reporting. SQL experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating environment and current Microsoft Office Suite products, and Google.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) required, Salesforce a plus, along with knowledge of a Student Information System (SIS), Jenzabar a plus, and the ability to learn and use technologically current applications and other software.


  • Assume a leadership role and work effectively with team members, faculty, administrators, and staff.
  • Present findings in written and oral formats.
  • Undertake survey research, including design, collection, and analysis.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with all aspects of the job duties.
  • Support the College's Mission, particularly in managing the responsibilities of the Department including strategic and operational planning at the department level.


Full-Time/Exempt. Position can be performed fully remote.


Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
