Admissions Advisor


Responsible for encouraging prospective students by progressing them from inquiry to enrolled status. Advises students about the admissions process. Supports and guides them with identifying educational goals, developing educational plans, receiving credit for prior learning (to include work experience and other forms of non-traditional learning), evaluating transfer credits and transcripts, and providing information and updates on financial aid, billing, and other student services such as tutoring, career advising, counseling, and the library. Additionally, this position plans and performs enrollment activities to maximize enrollment goals, as well as represents the College in all internal and external functional enrollment, advising, and sales activities and events.


Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred) with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a higher education admissions setting. Transfer Admissions and credit evaluation experience preferred. Recruitment and sales skills combined with a strong work ethic and a goal-oriented approach towards achieving results. Familiarity with the Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) application and process. Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable. Demonstrated ability to: work independently and as part of a team in order to meet deadlines and/or goals in a fast-paced environment; listen carefully, to interpret accurately, and to respond to a high volume of requests; and, maintain a high level of confidentiality with all aspects of the job duties. Willingness and ability to learn new systems and tasks related to the Admissions department. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. Proficiency in Windows operating environment, current Microsoft Office Suite products, and Google. Experience with CRM required (Salesforce a plus) along with knowledge of Jenzabar or a comparable platform, and and social media platforms is a plus.


Regular Full-Time/Exempt – Position will work remotely until further notice.


Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
