Director, Business Development and Program Implementation

DUTIES:

Responsible for strengthening and expanding the College’s enrollment and revenue growth through the development and management of viable strategic partnerships with regional employers who value the importance of education for workforce development and support their employees with education benefits. Serving as both an internal and external-facing relationship manager, this position works collaboratively with Marketing, Finance, Admissions, Academic Affairs, and Student Services to develop workforce programs and strategies which help achieve the College’s institutional goals.  Specific duties include:

  • Represents the College externally and performs new business development and customer relationship management activities to achieve the College’s workforce, financial, and enrollment goals.
  • Serves as a client relationship/solutions manager.  Oversees the details of partnerships, contracts, training, tracking and reporting systems, and program operations.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate systems and procedures. Collaborates with other areas of the College and contributes to the College’s partnership cultivation and development.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to gauge growth, funding, and relationship cultivation opportunities.  Develops internal and external support of new programs, responsive services, and partnerships.
  • Manages alignment between the College and key external constituencies in support of the institution’s strategic goals.
  • Participates in various College/Industry advisory board meetings to gather insights and develop solutions that meet current or emerging needs.
  • Other duties/functions, as assigned.

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, with a minimum of seven (7) years’ business development experience in strategic partnerships, workforce development, higher education, account management, and/or related career field. Experience working with C-Suite leadership and Board members. Executive business development experience a must. Demonstrated ability to: identify and cultivate senior-level relationships with internal and external clients; function as a leader, team member, and independently in order to meet deadlines while working in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment; listen carefully, to interpret accurately, and to respond appropriately to a high volume of requests, including the stated and unstated needs of students; and, maintain a high level of confidentiality with all aspects of the job duties. Proficiency in Windows operating environment, current Microsoft Office Suite products, and Google. Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) preferred (Salesforce a plus) along with knowledge of Jenzabar, or comparable platform, and the ability to learn and use technologically current applications.

STATUS:

Full-Time/Exempt - Position will work remotely until further notice, but some travel may be required.

HOURS:

Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
