Director of Admissions


Responsible for providing leadership, management, and direction for the recruitment efforts of the Office of Admissions. Duties include: developing enrollment projections and implementing strategies in order to meet the College’s recruitment and enrollment goals; developing and managing the implementation of recruiting campaigns (which may be held virtually, on campus, and/or off campus); ensuring staff assists and guides prospective students to identify educational goals, develop educational plans, receive credit for prior learning, evaluate transfer credits and transcripts, and provide information pertaining to financial aid, scholarships, and tuition assistance; promoting the College’s programs through relationship building with external constituents, and regularly attending off campus recruiting functions and partner events; establishing and maintaining relationships with articulating institutions; serving as a role model in resolving student customer issues in a satisfactory fashion; effectively administering CRM software system; analyzing data and reports regarding enrollment goals and adjusting enrollment practices and coaching admissions staff accordingly; and, developing and overseeing the Admissions budget.


Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Higher Education, Counseling, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a college or university admissions setting with at least three (3) years’ experience managing staff. Data driven decision maker with the ability to develop approaches for improved enrollment outcomes. Personal skills should include vision, creativity, problem solving and crisis management. Demonstrated ability to: provide outstanding service to customers in a fast-paced, high volume environment; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; explain policies and procedures to customers and colleagues to foster compliance; maintain a high level of confidentiality with all aspects of the job duties; organize efficiently with meticulous attention to details; and, listen carefully while negotiating, to interpret accurately, and to respond to a high volume of requests. Strong project and time management skills that enable the accomplishment of many tasks on a concurrent basis. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. Proficiency in Windows operating environment, along with current Microsoft Office Suite, database management and use of the applications as well as knowledge of Salesforce and Jenzabar or comparable respective platforms.


Regular Full-Time/Exempt


Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
