Director of Corporate Engagement and Partnerships

DUTIES:

 

Responsible for leading and managing new and existing corporate partnerships. As part of the Admissions Department, this position is responsible for strengthening and expanding the College’s enrollment and revenue growth through the development and management of viable strategic partnerships with regional employers who value the importance of education for workforce development and support their employees with education benefits. Serving as both an internal and external-facing relationship manager, this position works collaboratively with all of the College’s divisions to develop workforce programs and strategies which help achieve the College’s institutional goals.  Specifics duties will include:

  • Serves as the College’s leading point person in successfully soliciting, cultivating, and executing corporate and select organizational partnerships that lead to enrollment and revenue growth.
  • Researches new corporate prospects as well as targets and works with internal stakeholders to develop strategies, access points, and modes of engagement.
  • Refines the prospect list for corporate engagement based on industry trends and institutional strategic goals.
  • Creates proposals, presentations, applications, white papers, status reports, and other materials, as needed, in support of sponsor and partnership solicitation. This extends to preparing other members of the admissions team and/or college leadership for their participation in solicitation meetings.
  • Collaborates with the Admissions’ team to ensure corporate and partnership strategies are aligned to the overall institutional goals and serves as lead for a collaborative outreach plan.
  • Supports the development, execution, and assessment of institutional strategies designed to build external relationships and partnerships that align with the College’s strategic needs and agenda.
  • Responsible for the administration of budgets and resources allocated for the unit.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate systems and procedures. Collaborates with other areas of the College and contributes to the College’s partnership cultivation and development.
  • Hosts corporate partners virtually and, when applicable, in-person for meetings with college leadership, faculty, and students. Develops corporate events in collaboration with constituent engagement and special events in support of partnership fulfillment.
  • Participates in internal and external advisory board meetings to gather insights and develop solutions that meet current or emerging needs.

REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, with a minimum of seven (7) years’ business development and corporate partnership experience in strategic partnerships, workforce development, higher education, account management, and/or related career field. Experience working with C-Suite leadership and Board members and executive business development. Demonstrated ability to: identify and cultivate senior-level relationships with internal and external clients; function as a leader, team member, and independently in order to meet deadlines while working in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment; listen carefully, to interpret accurately, and to respond appropriately to a high volume of requests, including the stated and unstated needs of partners. Proficiency in Windows operating environment, current Microsoft Office Suite products, and Google. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Salesforce a plus, and the ability to learn and use technologically current applications.

STATUS:

Full-Time/Exempt – Position will work remotely until further notice. Candidates should be local to the Philadelphia area due to necessary job functions.

HOURS:

Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
