Director of Strategic Programs


Responsible for strategizing, implementing, and maintaining program initiatives and activities that adhere to organizational objectives and standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance. This position oversees the implementation of new projects and partnerships as well as existing projects and partnerships by monitoring and providing data, making recommendations, and implementing solutions to achieve project goals and objectives.

Specifics duties will include:

  • Implements, facilitates, and provides comprehensive support for small to complex projects that are critical to the development, growth, and sustainability of current and new strategic initiatives.
  • Serves as Project Director for the PBI Formula grant, through overseeing grant implementation and monitoring to ensure grant outcomes are met.
  • Monitors progress of special programs and partnerships. Drafts and distributes periodic progress reports for leadership and stakeholders regarding those programs and partnerships.
  • Designs and implements a system for tracking on-going initiatives and the progress of the plans to compare organizational performance against goals. Develops and delivers status reports regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Serves as the College’s leading point person in managing the Career Bridge program: oversees student transition into the program as well as performance throughout the program; collaborates with corporate partners and hiring managers to determine readiness for work immersion; regularly analyzes and leverages learning community-related data; and reports out on trending and student/community performance.
  • Oversees federal grant implementation and monitoring such as Title III grants.
  • Serves as the College’s leading point person in managing large corporate partners and meets regularly with partners to provides data and reports.
  • Develops and manages budget and funding channels for maximum productivity.
  • Manages third party online educational solutions such as, Sophia, Straighterline.


Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred, in Higher Education or Project Management with a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible strategic partnership development and management experience. Experience serving in an operational capacity in Student Services. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and proven results in high level relationship and partnership development. Demonstrated track record of working effectively with senior level leadership and Trustees. Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems within the constraints of College policy and procedures as well as maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality with all aspects of the job duties. Proficiency in Windows operating environment and current Microsoft Office Suite products, and Google. Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) required, Salesforce a plus, required along with knowledge of a Student Information System (SIS), Jenzabar a plus, and the ability to learn and use technologically current applications and other software.


Full-Time/Exempt – Position will work remotely until further notice. Candidates local to the Philadelphia area are preferred, but not mandatory.


Day, evening, and weekend responsibilities, as required.
