United Way Lubert IDA Program

Peirce College is honored to serve as an educational partner of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey’s Lubert Individual Development Account (IDA) Program.

The Lubert IDA program helps low-income residents advance their education by completing career-focused programs at Peirce College through a matched savings program. Participants are required to contribute $1,000, which is matched by a $3,000 grant. Students may reapply for consideration for additional enrollments into the grant program provided there is funding available.

Examples of Earned Income

Earned income may include wages, salary, tips, bonuses, commissions or earnings through self-employment.

What does net worth mean?

Your net worth is the combined value of everything you own that has monetary value (known as your assets) minus the amount of debt/loans you are paying off (known as your liabilities). For the purposes of the Lubert IDA program, the value of one vehicle and the primary dwelling unit of the participant are disregarded and not used in the calculation of net worth.
