Fight hunger in the community with SIFE and Campbell Soup Company

The Peirce College chapter of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) is leading the charge to give back to our community. Together with the Student Leadership Program, SIFE is collecting donations on behalf of Campbell’s Let’s Can Hunger Challenge, a partnership between Campbell Soup Company and SIFE to raise awareness of local hunger relief. All donations will go to Philabundance, the Delaware Valley’s largest hunger relief organization, which will distribute the food to people in need.

The hunger challenge has three objectives: raising awareness about hunger in the community, translating that awareness into action in the form of hunger relief, and empowering those in need to defeat the cycle of hunger.

Peirce’s chapter of SIFE will be collecting canned goods through March 30, so be sure to drop off any donations between now and then!

Philabundance has a list of high-priority food items that are needed most:

  • Canned/shelf-stable tuna
  • Macaroni and cheese
  • Canned pasta
  • Canned beef stew
  • Canned chili
  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Jelly
  • Canned green beans
  • Canned corn
  • Canned fruit
  • Breakfast cereal and hot cereal

A bin for canned goods donations is set up in the lobby of College Hall. SIFE is also accepting monetary donations that will be used to purchase additional food. For questions about the program or where to submit monetary donations, please contact SIFE Advisors Darrell Neron or Mariesa Hinchey.

Thank you in advance for your generosity as we do our part to defeat the cycle of hunger in the Philadelphia region!
