2 new members join Peirce’s Board of Trustees
Please join me in extending a warm welcome to the two newest members of Peirce College’s Board of Trustees — Tom Karinshak and Linnette W. Black.
Tom Karinshak serves as Senior Vice President of Customer Experience for Comcast, where he and his team work cross-functionally to ensure a superior experience at every point in Comcast’s relationship with its customers. He brings business and information insight from one of Philadelphia’s largest employers to our Board.
Before joining Comcast in November 2010, Tom served as Managing Director and Customer Experience Director for Barclays Bank of Delaware, where he designed and built a top talent customer experience, marketing, and operations organization. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
Linnette Black, presently retired, is the former President/CEO of HealthRight, Inc., a non-profit community health organization committed to creating an integrated network of a full range of comprehensive health care services for uninsured North Philadelphia residents. Her expertise comes at a critical time, as the healthcare industry continues to be one of the fastest-growing fields in Philadelphia.
Prior to this position, Linnette served as the Network Senior Vice President/CEO of the Northern Manhattan Network for the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation (NYC/H&HC). Through this role, she was the first African-American woman to serve as executive director of the Harlem Hospital Center.
Linnette received her master’s degree in Public Administration from Baruch College in New York City, and is a National Associations of Public Hospitals (NAPH) fellow. As a senior health care administrator, she has facilitated healthcare seminars and workshops at Columbia University, New York University, and The College of New Rochelle.
