Peirce College Human Resource Management Program Reapproved for SHRM Alignment

For college students – especially adult students – the end result is one of the most important considerations when it comes to choosing a school and a program. Most students ask themselves, what job can I get with this major and will it help me meet my goals?

At Peirce College, programs are aligned with industry standards to ensure that graduates are equipped with the skills they need to be successful in their careers. As such, the curriculum in our Human Resource Management (HRM) program is aligned with the standards of the Society for Human Resource Management SHRM – the industry’s most respected independent professional association.

While many HRM programs claim to follow industry standards, not all programs are certified by SHRM. Happily, Peirce College’s Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management program was just reapproved for SHRM alignment!

Peirce’s HRM program curriculum teaches the key skills to help graduates meet the nine SHRM program competencies:

  • Human Resource Expertise
  • Relationship Management
  • Consultation
  • Leadership and Navigation
  • Communication
  • Global and Cultural Effectiveness
  • Ethical Practice
  • Critical Evaluation
  • Business Acumen

Because of this alignment and our focus on these competencies, Peirce HRM graduates leave the program ready to sit for the SHRM-CP certification exam to further improve their career outlook and help them meet their goals.
