Established in 1865, Peirce is the only college or university in Pennsylvania dedicated solely to serving adults and is a leader in providing personalized online student services and education. In addition to online courses, you can earn credit for college-level knowledge gained through years of work, professional and military training and other experiences. You can also embed industry-recognized professional certifications into your degree program - and earn credit for those certifications. Peirce is designated as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) by the U.S. Department of Education.

    What You Can Expect 

    We will help you order your transcripts and complete a free, official credit evaluation that determines how your transfer credits will apply to your degree. We will also help you determine if your work or life experience could be turned into college credit with prior learning assessment.

    • Our admissions team, academic advisors and career counselors will help you succeed as a new student and achieve your personal and professional goals.
    • Our financial counselors will guide you through the financial aid process, including how to apply for scholarships and receiving a tuition discount because you are a JEVS EduConnect student.
    • We will identify if you can take any of your courses via our alternative credit providers - Study.com and Sophia.org - and how they map to our degree programs. 
    • Depending on your goals, we can help you prepare to earn industry-recognized credentials that validate in-demand skills, and apply those credentials as credit toward your degree.  


    The Online Student Experience 

    Online courses at Peirce are taught by our faculty members, who specialize in teaching working adults in an online setting and providing personalized educational support and guidance. 

    • You will have the option to attend weekly, live sessions with your faculty members in a virtual setting. 
    • You will be immersed in an outcomes-based curriculum that enables you to apply what you learn directly to your job. 
    • Our courses typically include 45 hours of direct faculty instruction and 90 hours of course work. As a student, you will have deadlines throughout the course, usually on a weekly basis. 
    • You will also have access to our Center for Career and Professional Development to help prepare you for career advancement - before you complete your degree.


    Featured Degree: AS in Business Administration  

    The AS in Business Administration degree prepares students for professional advancement in all areas of business. The ACBSP-accredited program enables you to customize how you align the acquisition of business knowledge with your career goals and personal interests.


    Featured Degree: AS in Health Information Technology 

    The AS in Health Information Technology prepares students for a career in one of the fastest growing and in-demand fields in the region. Graduates are prepared to sit for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT®) certification exam which opens the door to jobs in hospitals, medical offices, health insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, and more.
