Adjunct Faculty, Year Up

Description: Peirce College is hiring adjunct faculty to teach in Wilmington, Delaware starting in the Spring 2016-2017 academic year in the Year Up Program. Must be able to teach during the daytime, face-to-face. Faculty Chair, Legal Studies

Description: Responsible for the organization, administration, continuous program review, planning, development and general effectiveness of the Peirce College Legal Studies programs (Criminal Justice Studies, Legal Studies in Business and Paralegal Studies/ABA approved). Recruits faculty to teach in his/her respective degree programs and observes, supervises and evaluates full-time and adjunct faculty within his/her respective degree programs.

Faculty Member, General Education (Natural Science)

Description: Responsible for instruction of a wide array of undergraduate science classes. Teaches a total of 10 courses during the Fall and Spring Terms (with a 5/5 teaching load for each Fall and Spring Term); engages in, on average, four hours of institutional service per week which may include committee work, student recruitment programs, tutoring, career mentoring, academic advising, networking activities and curriculum/course development; attends functions, as assigned, including commencement, monthly faculty meetings, college forums and scheduled in-service activities; becomes involved in professional development activities and academic/professional organizations; and supports existing relationships with professional communities to foster professional socialization and leadership development.

Graduate Faculty Member Organizational Leadership and Management

Description: Responsible for providing a quality learning environment and facilitating student mastery of course, program and institutional learning outcomes through instruction that is practical, learner centered and career-focused. Graduate faculty members ensure quality, consistency and compliance standards; are involved in the recruitment, admissions and retention of graduate students; and provide advising and guidance to graduate students as well as broader service to the institution. Staff Openings

Manager, Faculty Recruitment & Professional Development

Description: Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring all adjunct faculty members as well as conducting new hire orientation sessions. Manages the search process for full-time faculty employees as the human resources representative assigned by the Human Resources Department. Oversees payroll for adjunct faculty. Coordinates and manages the online workshops/in-service series. Provides information and communication to internal and external constituencies as it relates to faculty issues, including quality control of adjunct faculty profile and various academic reports. Reviews all course surveys and provides feedback to adjunct faculty when appropriate. Coordinates and participates in the classroom observation process for faculty. Manages the virtual bookstore.

Description: Responsible for all aspects of the admissions sales process to include: recruiting, enrolling and supporting students who successfully enter the College’s programs as well as advancing the College’s overall enrollment. Assists prospective and re-admitted students with a variety of educational backgrounds and life experiences by helping them to realize their potential through completing their education. Consults with students and provides excellent customer service from initial inquiry to start. Develops and manages relationships with key contacts of organizations, businesses, high schools and community colleges.
