Associate Vice President, Human Resources / Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer

Description: Oversees all aspects of the College’s Human Resources division, to include Employment; Employee Relations, Corrective Counseling, and Conflict Resolution; the Performance Management Program; Training, Professional Development, and Succession Planning; Compensation and Benefits Administration; Workers’ Compensation; Unemployment Compensation; Payroll, and HRIS. Oversees the College’s Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Ensures compliance with all EEO and other local, state, and federal laws regarding all aspects of employment, hiring, training, benefits, and compensation, i.e. FLSA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Serves as the College’s Title IX Coordinator. Plans, develops, and/or conducts various training and development programs. Oversees the operations and administration of the College’s Benefits program; Monitors and analyzes cost-effectiveness of benefits offered. Oversees the operations and administration of the College’s Compensation program; Conducts salary surveys as required, and monitors and updates salary structure as needed. Oversees the operations and administration of Payroll. Investigates employee concerns of inappropriate behavior, unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Acts as the liaison with the College’s legal counsel on matters of compliance for the College-at-large. Counsels faculty, staff, and administration on matters relating to their employment at the College. Oversees the Human Resources budget. Liaises with the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Trustees. Participates on accreditation/approval teams.
