Commencement Ceremony

Location: Mohegan Arena, Wilkes-Barre Township, PA

No Ticket Limitations – Students are encouraged to bring as many guests as they’d like to celebrate!

Doors to the arena will open at 12:30 pm for students, their families, and guests. Students and guests will use the arena’s East Gate, furthest from the entrance, to enter the arena. Seating for family and guests is general seating in the lower bowl of the arena.

Students are asked to be in line at 1 PM and use the designated door (far right) to enter the arena. Once in the arena, they will be directed to the lower event level to prepare for the procession lineup.

Arrival Time and Parking

General Parking

Commencement: Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Mohegan Arena staff will assist with parking at the arena. Doors to the arena will open at 12:30 PM. Disabled parking is available near the arena’s West Gate and can be accessed using a state-issued license plate or disabled parking placard.

Busing Service

Complimentary bus transportation will be provided for Peirce College graduates and up to two guests. Refreshments will be provided. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the Mohegan Sun Arena and the designated locations listed below. The bus will pick up graduates and their two family members at the following locations:

1. 30th Street Station, Philadelphia, PA 19104
2. 500 West Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462 (Boscov’s)

 
Both locations will pick up graduates and family members at the same time. Pick-up time is 10:30 A.M. at each location, with the buses leaving promptly at 10:45 A.M.

Watch Graduation Virtually

Don’t miss a moment of the Class of 2026’s commencement! A livestream of the ceremony will be broadcasted, and a link will soon be provided to watch.

Graduation Fee

All students who apply for graduation must pay the $100.00 graduation fee, even if they do not intend to participate in the ceremony. This fee does not include the cost of the cap and gown for the commencement ceremony. If you are not planning to attend the Commencement Ceremony, please email peircegraduation@lackawanna.edu.

Commencement Attire

Cap and gown orders are now closed. If you missed the deadline and need academic regalia, please contact Dr. Shannon Begley at begleys@lackawanna.edu.

How Honor Cords and Stoles:

• Eligible students participating in the ceremony will receive their honor cords at check-in.
• Students not attending may request cords from the Office of the Registrar at peirceinfo@lackawanna.edu.
• Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX) members may order stoles (optional) during induction.
• Delta Mu Delta (DMD) members can purchase sashes (optional) through the Delta Mu Delta Shop.

As you graduate, give yourself a big pat on the back. You’ve made it! And as you step out, remember that the secret to handling college loans is the same as it is for getting through finals: prepare, and do your homework well in advance!
