A presentation developed by Peirce College and JetBlue Airways that focused expanding access and lowering cost in higher education was selected by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) to be presented at its national conference.

CAEL's 2023 national conference took place in October in Baltimore. The presentation, "Expanding Access and Lowering Cost: An Innovative Partnership Between Peirce College and JetBlue", focused on the innovative partnership between Peirce and JetBlue that leverages the development of flexible and stackable degree programs to help crewmembers finish their degrees.

Dr. Rita Toliver-Roberts, vice president for Academic Advancement, Dr. Shannon Begley, dean of Academic Advising and Registrar at Peirce were joined by Margo Moaremoff, manager of Academic Programs at JetBlue Airways presented at the conference. They discussed their partnership that leverages alternate credit providers, prior learning assessment and maximizing transfer credits to create a lower-cost pathway to degree completion that is a key component of the JetBlue Scholars program.

As a national leader in adult education and prior learning assessment, Peirce College has been actively involved with CAEL for many years. CAEL is a national nonprofit that supports the creation of education -to- career pathways, fueling economic mobility and community prosperity for all. They help institutions and workforce find common ground and better ways of serving students, including in the development of accelerated credential completion pathways.

Their annual conference attracts academic and workforce leaders from across the country to share best practices and learn from one another.
