Announcing organizational changes at Peirce College

To better serve our students, we recently developed a new leadership structure at Peirce that has shifted duties for some of our key staff members. We’re very excited to share these changes and wanted to highlight some of them on the blog today.

Uva Coles is now Vice President, Student Services. She’ll be overseeing several student-based services and programs including Academic Advising, the Walker Center for Academic Excellence, GPS (Guided Peirce Services), the Registrar’s Office, and Career Development Services. Uva has always said she has a passion for helping students and alumni progress personally, academically, and professionally, and her new position helps her do just that.

Rita Toliver-Roberts is now Vice President, Academic Advancement. Rita is now responsible for leading and overseeing the Academic Division here at the College. She’s charged with maintaining the quality delivery of Peirce’s undergraduate and graduate programs, including partnerships that expand Peirce’s academic footprint.

Robyn Dizes is now Manager, Career Development Services. With Uva expanding her focus across multiple student services programs, Robyn is now Manager, Career Development Services. In her role, she’ll be helping students develop the skills and abilities needed to advance their personal and professional growth, assisting with job and internship searches, and providing our signature interactive workshops and events to students and alumni.

Juanita Wooten is now Assistant Dean of Students. As Assistant Dean of Students, Juanita will be enforcing College policies, overseeing student grievances and academic progress, and reviewing student appeals for readmission to the College.

Shannon Begley is now Assistant Dean, Academic Advising and Registrar. In this role, Shannon will be responsible for the continued success of the Academic Advising Center, GPS, and the Registrar’s Office. These duties fit her passion for helping students succeed professionally and personally, and offering the best experience possible while at Peirce College.

Ajeenah Nurriden-Little continues in her role as Assistant Dean, Student Support Services. Ajeenah’s responsibilities include the Walker Center for Academic Excellence and Developmental Education. She will now also be responsible for managing programs for new students, such as the First Year Initiative and New Student Orientations, and overseeing general student programming and events, including Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month, Black History Month, and Constitution Day.

Congratulations to these staff members on expanding their responsibilities at Peirce!
