Live from Washington, D.C., keeping up with the latest Homeland Security education and technology

GOVSEC D.C.: Professor Bob Brzencheck
is representing Peirce at the event.

Greetings from Washington, D.C.! I’m here in our nation’s capital for GovSec, the nation’s premier event for government, homeland security, and law enforcement professionals.

Over the next two days, we’ll explore proven strategies and cost-effective technology that can help Criminal Justice professionals protect the nation’s critical infrastructures, key assets, and communities.

For the fourth year in a row, I am serving as an advisory council member and presenter. This year my presentation topic is: “The Forgotten Domestic Terrorist: Radical Left Wing Gangs in America,” and I’ll be co-presenting with Dale Yeager from Seraph.

My experiences at GovSec DC have been tremendous in previous years, and I’m proud to be here again to represent Peirce College’s Criminal Justice Studies program.

The GovSec advisory council is comprised of professionals who work in various criminal justice capacities across government, the military, academia, and criminal justice associations. The diversity of our council members’ expertise ensures that GovSec meets the educational needs of all our attendees.

Topics at this year’s conference will include:

  • Counter & Anti-Terrorism
  • Critical Infrastructure & Secured Cities
  •  Cybercrime & Cyberterrorism
  • Campus Security & Life Safety
  • Law Enforcement Strategies & Tactics

For more information on GovSec, follow Peirce College Criminal Justice Studies on Twitter. I will provide photos, video, and more to capture my takeaways throughout the conference. You can also click here for a schedule of the presentations and profiles on the presenters.
