Journey To Commencement: Brunia L Pilet

Journey To Commencement: Brunia L Pilet
This year, Peirce College celebrated its 160th Commencement and to continue the celebration we will feature some of our Class of 2025 graduates’ stories, in their own words, with our Journey to Commencement series.
Today’s feature is Brunia L. Pilet, a graduate of the Master of Business Administration program.
“I started my educational journey in 2014, but I paused my studies to dedicate myself to raising my five children as a stay-at-home mom. Life took many unexpected turns—I married at a very young age, moving to a new country with three small children, and facing countless challenges along the way. But despite the hardships, I held on, believing in a brighter future.
In 2019, my marriage ended, and I found myself at a crossroads. Then I knew I needed to support myself and decided to pursue higher education. My journey was tough—the divorce left me homeless, with no money, and a very small circle of friends. So I mostly studied while living out of my car. sometimes overwhelmed by fatigue, hunger, and emotional struggles. But I never gave up. I kept pushing forward, determined to succeed.
Today, I am proud to say that I have earned my bachelor’s degree, completed my master’s, and I am now pursuing my PhD at Regan University in Maryland.
This achievement is a testament to resilience, faith, and the unwavering belief that with perseverance, anything is possible.
I am deeply grateful for the support of some of my family, some friends and mentors along this path. This journey has taught me that no matter how difficult life may seem, perseverance and faith can lead to incredible accomplishments. Thank you for celebrating this milestone with me. I am excited for what the future holds and committed to continuing my pursuit of knowledge and growth.”
