New Program Spotlight: Certificate in Financial Operations

Our new undergraduate certificate program in Financial Operations is a perfect example. Peirce College’s stackable Certificate of Financial Operations prepares students for entry into the financial and securities industry and an opportunity to sit for the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam. Students will also develop a knowledge base of customer service, software applications, foundational accounting and finance as well as securities focused portfolio selection and risk management, and investment strategies and portfolio analysis.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, business and financial occupations are expected to grow by 8% through 2030, and the average salary is more than $50,000.

Upon completion of the 16 credit certificate, students are encouraged to enroll in the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) preparation course. SIE is the first exam required to sit for additional FINRA certifications, such as Series 6 and Series 7, which are required for professional advancement in the field of finance and securities.

And with the possibility of embedding an industry recognized credential into your coursework, you’ll have even more to add to your resume.

Peirce’s financial operations certificate program is offered entirely online and is completely stackable into undergraduate degree programs, including Business Administration; Organizational Leadership and Management; Liberal Studies, Information Technology; and Technology Management. The program is 16 credits long; can be completed in 6-9 months; and accepts up to three transfer credits.
