The 1865 Law Journal Editor And Paralegal Studies Student: Meet Ryan Plummer

Continuing our series, introducing the student-editors of The 1865: the Peirce College Law Journal, today’s feature is Ryan Plummer, a current student enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies program. Check out our interview below to learn more about Ryan.

Where are you from? I was raised in South Florida, but I now live in Central Missouri.

What is your educational background? I am currently completing my Bachelor in Science in Paralegal Studies.

What degree are you currently pursuing, and what are your plans after obtaining your degree? My goal is to work in our local JAG office for the Department of the Army.

What was the best part of your educational journey? I was nervous about returning to school later in life, and I wasn’t sure that I would do well.  I am happy that I have made some friendships on my journey, and my confidence has grown with each class.

What do you enjoy about the legal profession? I enjoy looking at complex issues and figuring out how to help people solve their problems.

What is your best skill related to the law? I love research, and if I find a topic that interests me, I spend countless hours learning everything I can about it.

What are your hobbies and interests? I have several hobbies including genealogical research, cemetery documentation and restoration, and countless crafts.
