Thinking about transferring colleges? FOX Business tells students what they need to know
No matter what the reason for your decision to change schools, there are certain things college students can do to successfully prepare for the transfer process. A lot of these same rules apply to those who decide to return to earn their degree after a hiatus.
Steve Bird, Program Manager of Institutional Partnerships at Peirce, recently offered his advice to FOXBusiness.com reporter Emily Driscoll for an article about what college students need to know about transferring schools.
Transferring is a big decision, so make sure you ask the right questions to make sure you really get to know the college you are considering. Find out what the cost and other logistics will be. For example, will the new school accept credits from your old school? Do you qualify for financial aid? What do you need to know to make the step from a community college to a four-year institution? Does the college offer dual admissions or have partner schools?
Emily talks to experts to get their take on the most important questions to ask when determining what college is the right fit, and what preparations will ease the transfer process.
Take a look at the FOX Business article to get Steve’s perspective and learn from others who have firsthand experience with the college transfer experience. If you have questions about transferring, leave a comment here, email our Admissions Department, or call 888.GO.PEIRCE, ext. 9000.
