New Program Spotlight: Certificate in Supply Chain Management and Logistics

In our post-pandemic world, consumer habits have shifted, seemingly for good. As we continue to feel the impact of COVID-19, the focus on supply chain management – and the problems that arise when there are issues – has never been greater.

That’s why we created one of Peirce’s newest undergraduate programs, a Certificate of Proficiency in Supply Chain Management and Logistics. Having trained professionals in this field is essential to economic recovery and growth.

Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services, including the processes that transform raw materials into final products. In addition to ensuring that the process works smoothly, the field is highly valued because effective supply chain management can minimize cost in the production and distribution cycle of a product, maximizing customers’ perceived value and helping businesses gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The Peirce Certificate of Proficiency in Supply Chain Management and Logistics prepares students with the skills and knowledge required for entry and advancement in the field with a focus on supply chain and business management.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

  • Supply chain-related jobs are expected to grow by 4% through 2029, as logistics and supply chain processes remain an important factor in profitability for companies and other organizations
  • The median annual salary for logisticians is $76,000

The Bureau predicts that job prospects are best for candidates who have experience using logistical software or doing logistical work for the military.

The Supply Chain Management and Logistics certificate is 19 credits, is offered 100% online, and is stackable with many of our associate and bachelor’s degree programs. It’s also a great add-on to another degree program.

Students can transfer up to 9 credits to apply to the program – including military training!
