Forbes named Peirce College as one of the nation’s best associate degree programs in general studies

In March 2024, Peirce was honored to be recognized by Forbes for having one of the nation’s best associate degree programs in general studies. Forbes selected Peirce’s program because of the emphasis on flexibility, including the option for synchronous classes with instructors for an enhanced learning experience.

Additionally, Forbes highlighted students’ ability to realize significant savings by completing up to 22 credits through Coursera – a savings of up to $13,000.

“This external endorsement of Peirce’s program is welcome validation for what we at the College have always known – our programs are among the best for adult students, built with the things they need the most: flexibility and affordability,” said Dr. Rita Toliver-Roberts, VP, Academic Advancement and Provost.

Since 1865, Peirce has proudly served adult and nontraditional students. We have offered Saturday and evening classes since the very beginning because we know that students need to work to support their families while they pursue their education. Programs like the AA in General Studies provide these students with a stackable experience that propels students forward.

Starting with a flexible associate degree program like General Studies can be a great foundation for students looking to finish their bachelor’s degree. Peirce’s associate in General Studies can fit into most of the College’s bachelor’s degree programs, as well as accommodate other previously earned credits from other institutions or providers, like Study.com and Coursera.
