Introducing our 2016 Commencement Speaker: Tamron Hall!

We’ve been hard at work finalizing our 2016 commencement program, and we’re very excited to announce who will be giving the keynote address on that special evening in June.  Our 2016 Commencement speaker will be Tamron Hall, award winning television journalist and co-host of NBC News’ “TODAY”.
Hall is also the anchor of of “MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall”, and has hosted several special reports for NBC News and MSNBC.  These include “Making the Grade,” “Debating the Black Agenda,” several “Dateline” and “Rock Center” pieces, the 2012 London Olympics and “Education Nation: Teacher Town Hall,” which was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2011. She also served as correspondent for the NBC News special “The Inauguration of Barack Obama,” which won an Emmy for Outstanding Live Coverage in October 2010, and was part of the NBC News team to receive a 2015 Edward R. Murrow Award for her segment on domestic abuse as part of TODAY’s “Shine A Light” series. Hall is also the host of “Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall” on Investigation Discovery.
“Tamron Hall is an example of how hard work and dedication can help you accomplish your goals,” said Peirce College President and CEO James J. Mergiotti. “Just like our graduates, she has overcome obstacles in her life’s journey.  Her story and the success she’s achieved will inspire the Class of 2016 to Peirce College’s 2016 Commencement will be held on Monday, June 13 at 6:45 p.m. at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
