About District 1199C
District 1199C was formed in 1974 through collective bargaining agreements between District 1199C of the National Union of Hospital & Health Care Employees (NUHHCE) and 11 Philadelphia hospitals. Today, the Training Fund is available to those looking
for guidance and support along their career path. Its programs and class offerings were designed to appeal to the needs of both healthcare employees and the healthcare industry at large. District 1199C’s Career Pathways train and develop graduates,
enabling them to meet employer expectations and preparing them for the constantly evolving world of healthcare professions.
