Peirce Students Awarded the Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women
At Peirce, we are committed to making higher education accessible and affordable through innovative programs (like credit for prior learning and test out), flexible transfer policies, tuition discount partnerships, and a robust menu of scholarship options and support.
In fact, scholarships are one of the most common ways to help pay for a college education. Scholarships are used for about 60 percent of total college costs for a typical family, according to Sallie Mae’s How America Pays for College. That’s why we dedicate a significant amount of time to helping our students find and apply for scholarships, such as The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia’s Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women.
The Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women, presented in conjunction with the Chamber’s Paradigm Award, is a merit-based scholarship that is awarded annually to local women employed by Chamber member companies, who are completing their undergraduate degrees. Each applicant must be a woman working up to 30 or more hours, who has completed at least one full year of college and is currently enrolled, and who has a minimum of five years of work experience. The scholarship awards up to $5,000 to be used for course-related expenses such as tuition, books, supplies, and equipment.
In the past, several Peirce students have been honored with this scholarship. We are proud to announce that this year there are four Peirce awardees of the Paradigm Scholarship for Working Women! The 2023 scholarship award recipients are:
- Tiffany David – Bachelor of Science in Human Services Leadership
- Evelyn Heldon – Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration
- Jennifer LeBold – Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
- Heather McCarron – Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
Over the next few weeks, we will share stories about each of these distinguished students, and share photos from the Paradigm Awards luncheon on March 9, where they will all be honored.
