PHILADELPHIA, March 30, 2018 — Joshua Richards, a partner at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP in Philadelphia, has been appointed to the Peirce College Board of Trustees.

Richards brings more than a decade of legal experience, with a deep background in higher education legal practice, to the Board, where he will provide insights and connections that will further strengthen the College’s Legal Studies programs, ensuring they are preparing graduates to meet the precise demands of the modern Philadelphia workforce.

Since 2011, Richards has worked as partner and vice-chair of the Higher Education Practice Group at Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr. He is also a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee, providing him further insights into the needs of regional employers. Previously, Richards was a litigation associate at Dechert LLP and completed his clerkship with the Honorable Norma Shapiro, District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

“I am thrilled to welcome Josh to the Board,” said James J. Mergiotti, Peirce College President & CEO. “His direct experience in one of our core academic programs only serves to build upon the vast knowledge of our Board members, whose advice and guidance aid in the development and evolution of Peirce in its mission to support the region’s working adults, their families, and our regional employers.”

The 23-member Board of Trustees serves as the College’s governing board. It assists with driving growth and providing valuable industry insights in the development of programs, curriculum and connections for alumni.
