Credits Awarded for Professional Healthcare Certifications Earned by Full Circle Students

PHILADELPHIA – Peirce College is collaborating with Full Circle Computing, Inc., a leading provider of national credential and certification training, talent management, career training and workforce initiatives, to make earning a college degree more affordable for those interested in healthcare and health information management careers.

As part of the partnership, Peirce is now awarding college credit for five healthcare certifications earned by Full Circle students who have completed courses offered by Full Circle to prepare for the certification exams. Eligible students can save more than $7,000 in tuition and fees by earning up to 12 credits that apply directly to an undergraduate program at Peirce, including programs in health information management. Full Circle is a private school licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

“Learning takes place continuously, and not always in a formal college course,” said Dr. Mary Ellen Caro, president and CEO of Peirce College. “Students who earn select professional certifications are an excellent example of that. We are honored to partner with Full Circle to help drive down the cost of degree attainment for students in the greater Philadelphia region and help them prepare for professional advancement.”

The partnership illustrates how prior learning can reduce the cost of degree completion and save time for students who want to advance their education and their careers.

“Throughout our 20+ year training history, Full Circle has taken great pride in our novel approaches helping students achieve career paths,” said Denean Williams, school director and board member at Full Circle. “We are thrilled that Peirce College is partnering with Full Circle to pioneer the expanded access to higher education for our students, many of whom are unemployed or under-employed and need alternative ways to achieve a degree.”

Currently, Peirce is awarding credit to students who have completed Full Circle prep courses and passed the following National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exams:

  • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS)
  • Certified Billing and Coding (CBCS)
